SUMMARY:Busy Bees Communication Club
DESCRIPTION:This summer skill-building group focused on Functional Communication Training for friends who communicate using pictures, buttons, high-tech AAC apps, sign language, and/or emerging vocal verbal skills.\nThis group is designed to provide lots of meaningful communication opportunities embedded throughout fun, structured activities. We will practice skills such as:\n\nRequesting things we want\nAsking for things we need\nCommenting and sharing ideas\nTurn-taking language\nUsing language during play and social interactions\n\nOur sessions will include:\n* A morning song circle\n* A hands-on craft activity\n* Guided play time\n* A snack with built-in communication opportunities\nThis group offers a supportive, inclusive environment where children can build confidence, practice communication in natural ways, and connect with peers while having fun.\nAges: 3-7\nCost: $1700\nDates: July 20 – 24, 2026.\nTimes: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.\nOrientation: A mandatory 1 hr. orientation will occur on July 13th at 9 a.m.\nTo register, please email our Autism Intake Coordinator at autism@maltbycentre.ca ( mailto:autism@maltbycentre.ca )\n
