Early Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention
This individualized, Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) comprehensive intensive therapy for children under 6 years of age, is delivered in our centre, for at least 15 hours of individual and group intensive intervention per week, over an extended period of months. Our Clinical team works with caregivers to develop individualized assessments and comprehensive interventions for each child. Therapists work directly with the children under the supervision of Clinical Supervisors. Caregivers are guided in supporting and extending their child’s learning in a variety of environments, while using the principles of ABA. Locations other than our Centre may be considered as requested.
Early Focused Behavioural Intervention: “1-2-3 and Me”
This individualized, focused, small group service for children under 6 years of age, is delivered in our centre for up to 15 hours per week. Assessment and interventions are individualized and supervised (see the comprehensive therapy described above) and caregivers are supported in extending the learning of their child. Locations other than our Centre may be arranged.
Early Focused Behavioural Intervention: ABC Classroom
The ABC program is an extension of our Early Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention Program. Children may enter this therapeutic classroom at J.G Simcoe school for up to 3 days a week. The purpose is to develop skills useful in the home school environment and to extend the learning of the comprehensive program. Students attend 2 days a week at their home school and learning is generalized to the home school environment. The School Board provides a teacher and an Educational Assistant and Maltby Autism Services provides Instructor Therapists and a Clinical Supervisor.
Little Learners and Families
Children ages 3 years and 4 years, and their caregivers attend six, 1.5-hour sessions at our centre with our Therapists. Small groups of up to 5 children attend together. Caregivers learn to promote the learning of their children in a supportive environment while Therapists guide them. Caregivers have the opportunity to meet each other and develop their skills of reinforcement, prompting and the basics of ABA.
