Be Cool: Coping with Anger (8-10)
October 25 @ 5:45 pm - 7:00 pm
Children will learn information on how to cope with their own anger when dealing with common scenarios. They will acquire skills on how to better maintain self-control, learn the basic elements of emotional intelligence and how to manage conflict. Activities will include introducing topics around coping with anger, watching videos that highlight these situations and clearly demonstrating tools for managing them. There will be lots of group discussions and opportunities to practice responding to these scenarios through role playing.
A Behaviour Plan will be created for each participant that will outline their learning goals for the group as well as a progress review to summarize outcomes. Content will be adjusted based on the age range of participants.
*Snacks, Drinks and Transportation will not be provided. Participants will be provided with opportunities to have snacks and drinks during group time for those interested in sending on with their child. Please note, we have a tree nut and peanut free environment.
