Autism Services Project IMPACT: Caregiver Coaching Program

What is involved in Project ImPACT?

Project ImPACT is an evidence-based parent-mediated intervention program based on best practices in early intervention.

A Behaviour Plan will be created for each participant that will outline their learning goals for the group and coaching sessions as well as a progress review to summarize outcomes.

Who is Eligible for Children’s Friendship Program?

Project ImPACT is for young children with social communication delays, including autism spectrum disorder. It is designed for children up to age six but may be used for older children with cognitive and language delays.

This group is currently being offered to caregivers of children 4-7 years of age, with an ASD diagnosis.

 

Commitment to Project ImPACT:

Caregivers attend six separate 2-hour caregiver-only group sessions every week for a total of 12 hours focusing on:

 

Caregivers will meet with the therapist individually with their child either virtually or in-person in the home for six separate 1.5-2-hour sessions every week for a total of 12 hours focusing on:

 

Group Dates: Weeks of September 21st, 2022 – October 26th, 2022

Registration: Please email ffsintake@maltbycentre.ca. Intake applications will be distributed to all interested parties at a later date, to help determine eligibility and appropriateness for this group. If this group is not the best fit for you and your teen, you will be contacted further with a rationale, and other possible options.

Cost: $440.00 Payment must be received in full prior to the start of group.

Requirements: To access this group, your child/youth requires an ASD diagnosis and must be within the identified age range.
