(CFS) is a free service that helps students with autism who are leaving behavioural services and going\/returning to full-time school. This program pairs your child with an Autism Spectrum Disorders Consultant who will work with your child\u2019s therapy provider, your family, and your child\u2019s school to support a successful transition.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t<div class=\"main-section\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"accordion accordion-main\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"opener\" href=\"#\">Learn more about Connections for Students<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"slide\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>CFS support can begin up to six months before your child leaves therapy, and typically continues for six months after your child moves to full time school. During this time an ASD Consultant supervised by a Registered Behaviour Analyst will work closely with you, your child\u2019s school staff, community service providers, and the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) service provider (if applicable) to set transition goals, implement strategies, and track your child\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n<p>CFS can help in situations like:<br \/>\n\u2022\tMoving from a clinical setting to a public school.<br \/>\n\u2022\tAddressing school support needs not covered by the Entry to School program<\/p>\n<p>CFS does not cover:<br \/>\n\u2022\tAdvocacy for specific school supports like an Educational Assistant<br \/>\n\u2022\tSupport for students who are not registered in a public school (public or <\/p>\n<p>Catholic school boards)<br \/>\n\u2022\tDirect services to your child<\/p>\n<p>CFS is available at no cost for eligible students registered in the OAP and enrolled in a public school.
