FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Warm Welcome to Normandie Wragg, Newly Appointed Executive Director at Maltby Centre

Kingston, Ontario – July 11, 2023

The Board of Directors of Maltby Centre is very pleased to welcome Normandie Wragg as the new Executive Director effective August 14, 2023.

With an extensive background in the non-profit social services sector, including children’s mental health and autism, Normandie brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience to our organization. With 25 years of non-profit experience, including ten years as an Executive, eight of which as Chief Executive, Normandie has displayed exceptional strategic leadership, successfully developing growth plans and implementing transformative change. Her ability to work collaboratively with her team, community and funding partners to build agency support for vulnerable individuals and their families has earned her recognition as a leader in developing strong teams and sustainable organizations. Normandie left her role as CEO, Nugent, a large non-profit providing education, health and social care to return to Prince Edward County after many years in the UK. She is in the process of relocating to the Kingston area.

“Normandie joins us as a highly strategic, visionary, equity-minded, experienced leader” says Sheila Kingston, President, Maltby Centre Board of Directors. “Normandie will lead the dedicated and skilled Maltby team and build on our reputation as a high quality, professional organization that cares deeply for the people we serve. Normandie’s ability to lead initiatives and achieve results through influence, empowerment, warmth, and collaboration sets her apart. Her passion for making a difference in the lives of children and youth with autism and mental health issues aligns perfectly with the Maltby Centre’s mission. Our previous Executive Director left the organization in April of this year. Derek Evans took over as Interim Executive Director and will return to his position as Director Finance and Corporate Services. Derek did an excellent job in leading the organization at a very challenging time and I want to thank him for his dedication and support. “

« I cannot express how excited I am to be appointed as the Executive Director at the Maltby Centre, » Wragg shares. « It is an incredible opportunity to work with an organization that is truly making a difference. I am eager to bring my passion, skills, and experience to this role and work collaboratively with the board, staff, partners, families, and the community to continue to create positive impact and outcomes. »

The Maltby Centre, located in Kingston, Ontario, is a lead agency dedicated to providing essential mental health and autism services to children and youth for over 25 years.
