Maltby Centre Services Update

MEMORANDUM
To: Community Partners
From: Karen Livicker, Director of Clinical Programs and Services
Date: March 26, 2024
SUBJECT: Maltby Centre Services Update

In February, Maltby Centre shared that due to budgetary restrictions for fiscal year 2024/2025 adjustments to our services would be required. These changes will come into effect on April 2nd, 2024:

  • New Hours of Operation:
      • Mondays & Fridays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
      • Tuesday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
      • Phones will be answered until 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
      • Crisis Services will be available between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please refer to our website for After Hours Crisis contact information. Crisis Support – Maltby Centre
      • Please note that some services, such as groups, workshops, and ongoing therapy may still be offered in the evenings after 6 p.m.
  • Maltby’s Walk-In Clinic Hours will continue to run between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last appointment being at 4:45pm. These occur on Tuesdays at Hyperion Court in Kingston, and alternating Wednesdays in Napanee and Sydenham. Please see our website for details. Walk In Clinic – Maltby Centre
  • Maltby will be pausing our School Engagement Program (SEP) after this school year’s completion in June 2024. Support for students who may require these services will continue through Maltby’s Intensive In-Home program.

Any changes in specific staffing to our programs will be shared with community partner teams in the coming days. All other programs and services will continue; however, we do expect an increase in wait times for our booked first session appointments (MHA) and our ongoing counselling services.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to navigate through the coming months. We remain committed to providing quality supports and services to the families in our community.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Karen Livicker at [email protected].
