Children & Youth Groups
Our mental health children and youth therapeutic groups are offered on a continuous basis throughout the year. We cover a variety of topics that encompass best practices and enhance treatment plans. Please note dates, times and formats will vary.

SNAP Program
SNAP®, which stands for STOP NOW AND PLAN, is a 12-week evidence-based, cognitive-behavioural model.
The gender-sensitive SNAP® Boys and SNAP® Girls programs are designed for children ages 6-11.
The goal of this program is to prevent future anti-social behaviour and reducing the chances of conflict with family, peers and authority figures.
Go Zen – Anxiety Group
This group consists of 6 – 1 1/2 hour sessions.
This group handles anxiety, fear, and hopeless thoughts.
- Shows how anxiety and excessive worrying affect the body and mind
- Explains the brain and how it deals with worry
- Shows how to recognize “ThoughtHoles” or thoughts that distort reality
- Explores the 5Cs of resilience, the FARR Method, and other techniques


Girl Power Group
This group consists of 4 – 2 hour sessions.
A skill based workshop series designed to focus on relaxation & mindfulness, self-confidence, healthy friendships and problem solving.
Under Pressure Group
This group consists of 4 – 1 1/3 hour sessions.
This group explores what it means to be a teen and managing emotions.


AFFIRM Youth Group
This group consists of 8 sessions.
The AFFIRM group is designed to help 2SLGBTQIA+ youth manage stress and build community.
AFFIRM supports mental health, enhances coping skills and validates the strengths of its participants.
