Leadership Transition at Maltby Centre

Uncategorized

I am writing on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Maltby Centre to share an important leadership update.

Normandie Wragg has advised the Board of her decision to resign from her role as Chief Executive Officer, following thoughtful consideration. On behalf of the Board, I want to express our sincere appreciation for Normandie’s leadership and her many contributions to the organization. We are also grateful for the strong relationships she has supported and strengthened with our community partners during her tenure.

Working together, the Board and Normandie safely stewarded the organization through a period of significant challenge. As a result of this collective effort, the Maltby Centre is in a stable financial position, has strong psychological health and safety practices in place for staff, maintains constructive union relationships, and has continued to build and sustain strong partnerships across the community and with our Ministries. We are also encouraged by the positive momentum beginning to take hold in our fundraising efforts.

The Board has a strong succession plan in place to support continuity and stability, and there will be no disruption to programs, services, or partnerships as a result of this transition. The senior leadership team continues to provide steady operational leadership, and the Board remains confident in the organization’s direction and long‑term sustainability.

Normandie’s last day actively at work will be June 12. The Board is committed to ensuring a smooth and well‑managed transition and will communicate further as appropriate.

To ensure continuity, I’m pleased to share that Kristen Argue will step into the role of Interim CEO, while the Board considers its next steps. Kristen brings strong leadership, deep organizational knowledge, and a clear commitment to Maltby’s mission, and I know Maltby Centre will be in capable hands during this transition.

We are grateful for your continued partnership and for the work we do together in service of individuals, families, and our broader community. The Maltby Centre remains firmly committed to its mission, values, and collaborative approach.

Sincerely,

Jacquie Costron
Board Chair
