Psychotherapy Services

Psychotherapy services are individualized, collaborative, and evidence-informed supports designed to promote emotional well-being, build self-awareness, and help individuals work toward their personal goals. These services support the development of coping strategies and may address areas such as emotional regulation, anxiety management, social understanding, communication, self-advocacy, and navigating life transitions.
Therapy sessions are structured and tailored to each person’s unique needs and preferences, drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, strengths-based methods, mindfulness practices, and developmental or relational frameworks.
Services are delivered in a respectful, neurodiversity-affirming manner that honors each individual’s experiences, values, and communication style.
Sessions are available in person, virtually, or by phone, offering flexibility and accessibility. Depending on individual needs and goals, sessions may involve family members or caregivers as part of a collaborative approach.
Participation in psychotherapy is voluntary, and individuals are encouraged to take an active role in setting goals and providing feedback throughout the therapeutic process. Rate: $160/hr
Skill Building Groups (0-18 years)
Maltby Centre offers a variety of skill building groups for children and youth throughout the year at our center, in the community or virtually. These groups include play skills for young children, social skills groups for all ages, emotional regulation groups, and workshops for teens on relevant topics. Caregivers are guided in supporting and extending their child or youth’s learning. Behaviour Analysts conduct caregiver sessions during and after the groups.
We are in the process of designing some new group opportunities.
