Caregiver Workshops
Throughout the year, we offer a range of learning opportunities—from single-session workshops to multi-week programs—designed to help caregivers build practical tools and skills that strengthen their relationships with their children.

Nurturing Touch (5 Sessions)
This workshop for caregivers of babies, 0 -6 months is designed to:
- Stimulation (physical and developmental)
- Relaxation
- Promotes relationship and bonding with your baby
Parenting Your Anxious Young Child
(4 Sessions)
This workshop for parents/caregivers of children 0 – 6 is designed to:
- Understand how anxiety develops
- Explore how to teach children to face their fears
- Learn how to use rewards to increase a child’s bravery
- Understand how to use effective parenting strategies
- Learn how to help your child become more independent.


Parenting Your Anxious Child
(2 Sessions or full day)
This workshop for parents of children 7 – 18 is designed to explore:
- What anxiety is
- Why our children and teens are having difficulty
- What can we do to help them better learn to manage their anxiety
Circle of Security (8 Sessions)
The information in Circle of Security can help caregivers of children 0 – 6:
- Feel more confident in parenting and have more positive, parent led, interactions with their child
- Better understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs and cues
- Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions and build their child’s self-esteem


AFFIRM Caregiver (7 Sessions)
AFFIRM Caregiver is a 7 session, evidence-informed intervention that increases the knowledge and skills of parents and caregivers of 2SLGBTQIA+ children and youth moved from rejection to affirmation.
- GROW together in our abilities to make LGBTQ+ youth feel wholly valued, loved, and affirmed.
- LEARN more about what it means to be an affirmative caregiver to a young LGBTQ+ person
- REFLECT on how our current society, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, as well as past experiences might impact the LGBTQ+ youth in our lives
Something for Dads (10 Sessions)
A FREE 10 week program for Dads of children 0 – 18 to support parenting skills. This is a partnership with several organizations in KFL&A.
