AIM & Game – Season Two

AIM & Game – Season Two: 10-Week Skills Group for Teens (Ages 13–17)

AIM & Game – Season Two is a structured small-group program designed to support adolescents in developing and practicing skills related to emotional regulation, flexible thinking, and values-based decision-making.

The program incorporates selected lessons from the AIM Curriculum (Accept–Identify–Move) together with collaborative tabletop role-playing games. These activities provide opportunities for participants to explore coping strategies, discuss personal values, and practice communication and problem-solving within guided scenarios.

The use of tabletop role-playing games helps create an engaging environment in which participants can practice applying strategies during social interaction and structured gameplay.

This program uses selected modules from the AIM curriculum and does not deliver the full AIM curriculum program.

Program Focus:

Sessions combine structured teaching, discussion, and cooperative gameplay to support participants in practicing skills such as:

  • Recognizing and understanding emotions
  • Using coping and mindfulness strategies
  • Developing flexible thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exploring personal values and decision-making
  • Practicing communication and peer interaction
  • Using strategies for managing strong emotions in challenging situations

Role-playing scenarios and structured activities allow participants to practice these skills in a supported group setting.
