The Board of Directors is pleased to appoint Ms. Karen Fleming as the Executive Director of the Maltby Centre effective March 9, 2020.
“Karen Fleming is a transformational leader with proven experience nurturing high performance teams,” Suzanne Geoffrion, President of the Board of Directors. “She comes to us with over twenty years of experience in executive level roles in the health care sector with a strong interest in child and youth mental health programming and quality assurance.”
“Maltby Centre provides incredibly important Autism and Mental Health services to the community – services that truly make a difference in peoples’ lives,” said Nicki Collins, current Executive Director who is retiring in February. “I’m so proud to have ended my professional career at this amazing organization, and I know that Karen is the right leader for Maltby Centre at this time.”
Over her career, Ms. Fleming has held key leadership roles with the Local Health Integrated Network in guiding groups toward an integrated care approach to service delivery, and has worked with various funding groups, including the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Children and Youth. She is regarded as an astute listener, and over the years has brought the right parties to the table to deal with critical ethical dilemmas.
She is fully aware of the transitions and challenges before us in Autism Services and is committed to ensuring we continue to provide the right services for our clients over this time.
Maltby Centre is a Child and Youth Mental Health and Autism organization serving the Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington area.
